Our Guidelines
Tuition is due at the first of the month. There are no refunds for missed classes, you can schedule a make up class. See
Miss Donna or Miss Stephanie and they will gladly help with this. Payments not made by the 15th of each month will be assessed
a $10.00 late fee. All accounts must be paid in full by May 31st.
Attendance- Training is progressive. Dancers cannot reach their full potential with excessive absences. Good attendance is
important too while students are learning their choreography so they are practiced and prepared for their year end performance.
Proper dance attire is -Required- Dance attire is leotard and tights. Students may wear dance shorts or a skirt with leotards.
Leggings and jazz pants are fine for hip hop, contemporary and jazz classes. Ballet students in our ballet program must
wear pink or tan tights with pink ballet shoes. For Jazz, Contemporary and Hip Hop shoes will vary. Check with your instructor.
NO socks on the dance floor for student safety. Gymnastics is clean bare feet.
Please have hair pulled up off the face, low bun is preferred. So the neck can been seen by the instructor. Low pony tails
for gymnastics.
Please no parents, friends or siblings in the dance studio during class. We will hold parent observations weeks. Please
watch from a distance and not up against the door. We see you in the mirror and this can distract the students, especially
the younger students.
No interruptions once a class is in session, no street shoes on the dance floor. No food or snacks in the dance area, only
water bottles will be permitted. Students should bring all dance shoes in at the start of class.
Classes Cancelled due to inclement weather will be posted by 2:00pm on our facebook page and webpage. Many times the roads
get bad after we’ve started classes for the evening. Please use your judgment in these instances. Especially if you
are travelling from outside of Milton. Do not follow what your school has done as we have students from many school districts.
If the roads are clean in the evening, we will hold class.
Any medical conditions must be listed on your registration forms. Dance & Gymnastics has a risk of injury as with any other
sport. Footworks Studio and its teachers will not assume responsibility for injuries. This is the responsibility of the parent
& student.
All students will perform in our annual year end recital in June except Toddler Time and Intro to Dance classes. Students
will be required to purchase a costume for this event. Most students only need to buy one costume as we order two in one costumes
at approximately $55.00 child sizes, $65.00 adult sizes. Costumes are yours to keep after the recital. The only students needing
to buy additional costumes are students who take hip hop or Friday's gymnastics class in addition to their regular dance class.
Our pictures are done by Finest Image with several packages available at a group discount rate, these are optional. A time
will be scheduled at the studio for picture day. All students must participate in the photo shoot so that all students are
in group photos.
